Mirror in Murano glass, composed using curls, rosettes, flowers and leaves typical of the processing
handcrafted Venetian mirrors instead of beards, eyes, noses and hats.
It is a series of mirrors by arcimboldesca inspiration, made by Lucia Massari’s design.
Realized on the occasion of Materia Eterea, the exhibition created by Barbini Specchi Veneziani at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation on the occasion of the III edition of The Venice Glass Week.
The mask and the mirror are both characteristic artifacts of the Venetian artistic tradition, combining the aspects resulting in a mask that maintains the decorative characteristics typical of the ancient Venetian mirror, making fun of its serious pomposity.
